The Tamil film industry is mourning the loss of one of its veterans, Manobala, who passed away at the age of 69 in Chennai. The actor and director had been undergoing treatment for a liver-related issue for the past few weeks before his death. The news of his demise came as a shock to his family, friends, colleagues, and fans.

Manobala was known for his comic timing and humor and had been a part of more than 450 films in his long 35-year career. He started his acting career in 1979 with Bharathiraja's Puthiya Varppugal and went on to win several accolades and awards for his performances.

Gm Kumar and Ramesh Bala, two prominent personalities in the Tamil film industry, confirmed the news about his death on social media. Several South Indian celebrities and fans expressed their grief and condolences on social media platforms.

Superstar Rajnikanth, who was a close friend of Manobala, expressed his sadness on Twitter, saying, "I am deeply saddened by the passing away of my dear friend Manobala, a famous director, and actor. My condolences to his family. May his soul rest in peace."

Actor Gautham Karthik, who had worked with Manobala, tweeted, "Heartbreaking to hear that Director/Actor #Manobala sir is no longer with us. Was a true pleasure to work with you sir! You will be surely missed! Condolences to family, friends, and loved ones...#RIPManobala."

Fans also expressed their shock and sorrow at the loss of the veteran actor and director. One fan wrote, "Shocking & deeply saddened by the passing away of Actor/Producer @manobalam. My condolences to his family. May his soul rest in peace. #Manobala #RIP"

Manobala's mortal remains will be kept at his residence in Chennai for the final respects. His wife Usha and son Harish are reportedly in deep shock over his sudden demise.

The Tamil film industry has lost one of its most beloved veterans in Manobala. His contributions to the industry will be remembered for years to come, and his legacy will continue to inspire future generations of actors and directors. May his soul rest in peace
