Celebrity Hairstylist Aalim Hakim recently shared a behind-the-scenes video of his look test for the rugged character of Ranbir Kapoor as Ranvijay. In the video, Ranbir appears in a dapper avatar, sporting long hair and a beard, perfectly embodying the essence of his character.
The actor, along with his team, meticulously designed the hairstyle to reflect the authenticity of the character. Aalim Hakim, the celebrity hairstylist, revealed that the long hair look was crucial for Kapoor's character as it had to be prominent throughout the movie. They aimed for a textured hairstyle with a free-flowing movement, complemented by a slightly rugged beard.
Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga played a significant role in shaping Kapoor's appearance for the character. He emphasized Ranvijay's emotional journey and how it should be reflected in his appearance. The hair and beard had to look strong and fierce on screen, yet not overly groomed, to maintain the character's authenticity.
What made Kapoor's look even more intriguing was the inspiration behind it. Vanga revealed that Ranvijay is a diehard Michael Jackson fan in the movie. Kapoor's look in the climax scene, complete with long locks tied in a ponytail, a black leather jacket, and a cigarette, echoes the rebellious spirit of Michael Jackson.
