Vicky Kaushal unveils the poster of his next biopic Sardar Udham

Sardar Udham Singh, the rebel who assassinated Michael O'Dwyer to revenge the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh tragedy, is the subject of the Shoojit Sircar biopic.

Sardar Udham, starring Vicky Kaushal as the eponymous character, is all set to release digitally on Amazon Prime Video. In October, the Shoojit Sircar-directed film will be released digitally.

Sardar Udham is a heartbreaking vengeance story that follows the brave man who ensured that the world never forgets the lives of his beloved comrades who were ruthlessly slaughtered in the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre of 1919.

Vicky Kaushal announced the news on Instagram, writing, "My heart is full with love as we present you the narrative of a revolutionary." Watch #SardarUdhamOnPrime this October.”

In a statement, Amazon Prime Video's director and head of programming, Vijay Subramaniam, said that with every tale they broadcast, they guarantee that the storyline is loaded with emotions and depth that finds a home in the hearts of every viewer.
