During an episode of the Unfiltered by Sameer podcast, Warsi did not mince words while critiquing Kalki 2898 AD. Although he lauded Amitabh Bachchan’s performance, he was notably disparaging about Prabhas’s role, referring to him as a 'joker'. Warsi expressed his disappointment, questioning, "I am genuinely upset. Why was he depicted as a joker? Why? I want to watch a Mad Max film, but what have they turned him into? I don’t understand why they do this."

This critique did not go unnoticed by the legions of Prabhas’s supporters, who promptly took to social media platforms to express their displeasure. They inundated the comment sections of Warsi’s recent posts with a barrage of offensive messages, asserting that Prabhas’s stature far exceeds that of Warsi.
