Massive Crowds Swarm to Witness Historic Opening of First Apple Store in India, Memories of Long Queues at Tim Hortons Launch Resurface

Apple, one of the world's most iconic technology companies, has opened its first official store in Mumbai, India's financial capital. Located in the Bandra Kurla Complex area, the store offers Apple enthusiasts in the city and across the country access to the company's products and retail experience.

The opening of the store was a significant event for Apple, with approximately 200 people gathering from early in the morning outside the shop in the commercial capital of Mumbai in the hope of being among the first few to enter the store and catch a glimpse of CEO Tim Cook, who was set to inaugurate the 28,000-square-foot (2,600-square-meter) store later in the day.

The store's opening marks a significant milestone for Apple, which has been looking to expand its presence in India for several years. With over a billion people and a rapidly growing middle class, India represents a massive opportunity for the company, which has struggled to gain a foothold in the country due to regulatory hurdles and stiff competition from local brands.

The store's launch was a major event for Apple, with Cook himself in attendance to open the doors to the public. The CEO waved at the fans gathered at the grand opening of the event and even allowed them to click selfies with him.

While loyal fans of Apple products expressed their excitement for the launch, sharing images and videos on social media, some critics questioned the hype surrounding the event, suggesting that Apple fans standing in long queues outside the store were unlikely to receive products for free.

Despite the mixed reactions, the launch of Apple's first official store in India marks a significant step forward for the company's ambitions in the country. With a growing middle class and a tech-savvy population, India is a crucial market for Apple, and the company will be hoping that its latest store in Mumbai will help it to gain a stronger foothold in the country's competitive technology market.
