Virat Kohli had sought permission from the team management to leave for Mumbai due to a personal emergency. A source from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed this, mentioning that Kohli is expected to rejoin the team on Monday.

This change in Kohli's plans has sparked rumors, coinciding with speculations about his wife, Indian actress Anushka Sharma's pregnancy news. Various entertainment outlets in India have reported that the couple might be expecting their second child and could make an official announcement soon.

To avoid public scrutiny and further speculation, it is believed that Anushka has deliberately kept a low profile, limiting her public appearances. The rumors gained momentum after Anushka's recent Instagram post related to a festival, where she was seen wearing traditional sarees.

Anushka and Kohli tied the knot in 2017 and welcomed their daughter, Vamika, in January 2021. Anushka is also set to appear in 'Chakda’Xpress,' a biographical film about former Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami.

Team India's first warm-up match against England had to be called off due to unfavorable weather conditions in Guwahati. They will have another opportunity to test their playing XI in the upcoming match against the Netherlands. India's opening match in the ICC World Cup 2023 is scheduled against Australia in Chennai on October 8.
