Soon after the 'SYL' song was removed, there was a huge criticism against YouTube as the late singer's fans were condemning YouTube for removing the song.

Responding to Sidhu Moose Wala's 'SYL' song, Haryanavi singer Masoom Sharma released a song 'Haryanavi SYL' which has not been banned in India. Therefore, a lot of people have been criticising 'YouTube' and 'Government' for being 'biased' to some of the songs.
