Alia Bhatt 'Gangubai Kathiawadi’ will get special screening at Berlin International Film Festival 2022.
Alia Bhatt and her upcoming films are coming one after the other and the actress is busy launching the trailers and posters. While Alia currently promoted RRR and launched the motion poster of Brahmastra, she is now heading towards the next film ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’.
The actress will be seen in one of the most powerful and respected madams roles from Kamathipura from the years the 1960s.

The trailer of the film was released a while back which got Alia a lot of praise for perfectly pulling up the character. Since the trailer release of the film, it is being very desperately waited by the audience. The much-awaited film Alia Bhatt has been officially selected for theAlia Bhattof the Berlin International Film Festival 2022.
The film has been directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali for which Alia Bhatt is grateful for playing such a role. From one of the chapters of author Hussain Zaidi’s book ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’, the film story has been adapted.

The crime drama will make its world premiere in the Berlin Special Gala which is a big thing for the lead actress Alia. Expressing her happiness the Bhatt wrote on her social handle, “So grateful to be part of a wonderful team that now celebrates its official selection to the #BerlinFilmFestival2022. See you on 18th February 2022.”
During the time of 1960s Kathiawadi was one of the loved, powerful and strong names in the world of crime whose part will be essayed by Alia Bhatt under the direction of Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Before this also Alia Bhatt’s 2018 Gully Boy was made to the film gala and now this is her second film going. In the film, Seema Pahwa will be seen as well with cameo appearances of Huma Qureshi and Ajay Devgn.
The film is made under the production of Bhansali and Jayantilal Gada of Pen India Limited, which will be hitting the theaters on 18th February 2022.
Berlin International Film Festival is one of the largest film festivals which will be from 10th February to 20th February 2022.
