The show was dominated by Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film, "Gangubai Kathiwadi," which won awards in ten different categories, including Best Actress for Alia Bhatt, Best Director for Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and Best Actor for Rajkumar Rao. The film tells the story of Gangubai, a powerful woman who rises from a life of poverty to become one of Mumbai's most respected and feared people.

However, Ayan Mukherji's "Brahmastra: Part-1 Shiva" was also a big winner, receiving awards in four categories, including Best Playback Singer for Arijit Singh for the song "Kesariya." The film also won awards for its impressive visual effects.

Another notable film was "Badhaai Do," which won six awards in the critics' category. The film, which is a sequel to the 2018 hit "Badhaai Ho," stars Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar.


The show also paid tribute to the late veteran actor and Bollywood legend Dilip Kumar, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award. Dilip Kumar was one of India's most iconic actors, and his contributions to Indian cinema will always be remembered.
