68th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2023 Highlights: Best of Bollywood Honored with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Gangubai Kathiwadi' Dominating the Night

The 68th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2023 was a night filled with glitz, glamour and exceptional performances by various celebrities. Salman Khan, one of Bollywood's biggest stars, hosted the show while Maniesh Paul and Ayushman Khurana co-hosted the event, adding more excitement and entertainment to the proceedings.

The prestigious Filmfare Awards has been a benchmark for excellence in the Indian film industry for over six decades. This year, the awards were given to the best performers and technicians in the Indian film industry. The awards are a reflection of the hard work, creativity, and dedication put in by the entire film fraternity, from actors and directors to writers and technicians.

The show was dominated by Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film, "Gangubai Kathiwadi," which won awards in ten different categories, including Best Actress for Alia Bhatt, Best Director for Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and Best Actor for Rajkumar Rao. The film tells the story of Gangubai, a powerful woman who rises from a life of poverty to become one of Mumbai's most respected and feared people.

However, Ayan Mukherji's "Brahmastra: Part-1 Shiva" was also a big winner, receiving awards in four categories, including Best Playback Singer for Arijit Singh for the song "Kesariya." The film also won awards for its impressive visual effects.

Another notable film was "Badhaai Do," which won six awards in the critics' category. The film, which is a sequel to the 2018 hit "Badhaai Ho," stars Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar.

The show also paid tribute to the late veteran actor and Bollywood legend Dilip Kumar, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award. Dilip Kumar was one of India's most iconic actors, and his contributions to Indian cinema will always be remembered.
