Ashok Kumar's daughter Bharti Jaffrey's death news: Indian actress Bharti Jaffrey, who was the daughter of legendary actor Ashok Kumar, passed away, confirmed her son-in-law and actor Kanwaljit Singh through his social media post.

While confirming the news of Ashok Kumar's daughter Bharti Jaffrey's death, actor Kanwaljit Singh shared that Bharti passed away on Tuesday.

Besides, he paid tribute to Bharti Jaffrey on social media, recalling the fond memories that he shared with her. Notably, Kanwaljit Singh tied the knot with Bharti Jaffrey’s actor-daughter Anuradha Patel.

While sharing the post, Kanwaljit Singh wrote, “Our beloved Bharat Jaffrey, Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Neighbhour, Friend and inspiration has departed us today 20 Sep.”

While confirming the news of Ashok Kumar's daughter Bharti Jaffrey's death, Kanwaljit shared a few family pictures with Bharti and recalled all the fond memories.

He also shared that Bharti was cremated at the Cherai Crematorium Chembur Camp in Mumbai. According to information, Bharti died after a prolonged illness.

Who was Bharti Jaffrey?

Bharti Jaffrey was the daughter of legendary actor Ashok Kumar. She was a part of films like 'Hazaar Chaurasi Ki Maa' (1998), 'Daman: A Victim of Marital Violence' (2001), among others.

Likewise, she was also seen in the popular 1990s TV show 'Saans' which also featured Neena Gupta and Kanwaljit Singh.
