Bollywood actors mourns the death of the Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat who lost his life in a chopper crash

The tragic death of the Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat came like a shock to the whole nation. The general died in the helicopter crash in Tamil Nadu’s Coonoor on Wednesday in which 12 more people died including his wife Madhulika. In total 14 people were in the helicopter while one Group Captain Varun Singh was the only survivor in the crash who is still struggling for his life in hospital.

All the Bollywood celebrities are saddened to hear the shocking news and many of them paid condolence to the General.

Salman Khan in his condolence message wrote, “Very sad to hear of the tragic crash in which we have lost Gen Bipin Rawat his wife, and other personnel from the Armed forces. My thoughts my prayers and condolences are with the bereaved families."

Very sad to hearas traveling with his 13 team members to the Defence Staff College in Wellington near Coimbatore. Many videos of the chopper crash have gone viral post the accident in which massive flames are clear witnesses of the severe accident. Post the accident, military officers and rescue operations started their search of the team.

Actor Anupam Kher was also shocked to hear the news who shared a throwback picture with Bipin Rawat writing, “Deeply saddened to hear of the passing of CDS Gen Bipin Rawat, his wife, and 11 more military officers. Had the good fortune of meeting Gen Rawat many times. He had amazing audacity and unfathomable love for the country. Shaking hands with him, ‘Jai Hind’ would come out naturally from the heart and tongue!”

Talking about the incident, actress Kangana Ranaut said, ‘the most horrible news of the year.’

 

On the other hand, Yami Gautam wrote, “An extremely sad day for our country. We are still trying to process this shocking news. Our deepest condolences.”

Former Miss Universe, Lara Dutta also paid her condolences by writing, “Prayers for the family of Gen Bipin Rawat and his wife Mrs. Madhulika Rawat, and for the families of the other 11 persons who lost their lives today in the helicopter crash in Coonoor. A sad day for the Armed Forces. May their souls #RIP.”

Vivek Oberoi talking about the incident wrote in his tweet, “Deeply saddened to know about the demise of Gen Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat. Sir, we salute you for four decades of selfless service to our motherland. I join our nation in mourning the loss of one of India’s finest soldiers. #RIP #OmShanti.”

Director Karan Johar also took to his social handle to tweet about the accident writing, “Extremely shocked and saddened by the passing of General Bipin Rawat, his wife and soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces. He salutes the brave and selfless service rendered to the nation, while we mourn this untimely loss. . Stay in power.”

Another tweet came of the Bollywood actor-director, Ajay Devgn writing, “Grieved to know about the untimely demise of Gen. Bipin Rawat, his wife Madhulika Rawat, and his troops of the Indian Armed Forces. My deepest condolences to all their families .”
