After a protracted age-related illness, veteran actress Sulochana Latkar passed away yesterday. She clocked in at 94. She had a reputation for her work in Hindi and Marathi films, and over the course of her career, she had roles in more than 300 films. Additionally, she portrayed the mother of Amitabh Bachchan in a number of films, including Majboor, Reshma Aur Shera, and Muqadddar Ka Sikander. Now that the late actress has been remembered, Big B has shared his condolences and mentioned in his most recent post that he had been in touch with her family to check on her health.

Amitabh Bachchan remembered seasoned actress Sulochana Latkar in his most recent blog entry. She had been ill for some time, he confessed, and he called her "gentle, generous, and caring. “We have lost another great of our Cinema World - Sulochana ji .. the gentle, generous, caring Mother that played in several films with me  .. she had been ailing for some time .. and this afternoon she left for her heavenly abode ..,” wrote Big B.

He further added, “I had been monitoring here condition with her family .. but finally the sad news ! We can only pray in such unforgiving circumstances ..”

Madhuri Dixit also posted on her Instagram account to express her sorrow at Sulochana Latkar's passing. She wrote, "Sulochana Tai was one of the most loved and graceful actresses cinema has seen. My favourite film of hers will always be Sangate Aika. Her performance in every film was memorable. I will miss our conversations may you rest in peace. Your contribution to Indian cinema will always be remembered.”

According to Sulochana's daughter Kanchan Ghanekar, the veteran actress experienced breathing problems and age-related health issues. At the crematorium at Shivaji Park, her cremation will take place at 5.30 p.m. today.
