Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's Puja Ceremony Ahead of Their D-Day: A Gala Affair
Celebrations are in full swing for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant as they prepare to tie the knot on July 12. Ahead of their grand wedding, a special puja ceremony was organized, attended by family members, celebrities, and several well-known faces.
Reliance Foundation Founder and Chairperson, Nita Ambani, left no stone unturned with her fashion game at the puja ceremony for her youngest son, Anant. Dressed in a royal blue traditional attire, Nita posed for the paparazzi outside her residence. Her ensemble included statement jewelry, a heavily worked lehenga, and a bun hairstyle. During a conversation with the photographers, Nita said, "Jai Shree Krishna... Aaj Shiv Shakti ki puja hai toh aapke liye prasad bhej rahi hoon."
Family members and other guests were spotted arriving at the function. Kokilaben Ambani, Mukesh Ambani's mother, attended the ceremony to bless the couple. Mukesh Ambani's brother Anil Ambani also graced the function with his wife, Tina.
Star cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his wife, Sakshi Dhoni, set both couple and fashion goals as early attendees at the ceremony. Dhoni looked dapper in a black kurta pyjama with matching shoes, while Sakshi wore a lavender lehenga with golden work. The couple happily posed for the shutterbugs before entering the venue.
Janhvi Kapoor looked stunning in a multi-colored lehenga with heavy embellishments, accessorized with statement jewelry and a sleek bun. She arrived with her rumored beau, Shikhar Pahariya, hand-in-hand. Adding to the glamour, actor Ranveer Singh arrived in style, wearing an embroidered ivory kurta set. He greeted the paparazzi with folded hands outside the Ambani residence.
The puja ceremony was held at Antilia, the Ambani residence. Earlier, Anant and Radhika participated in a Grah Shanti Puja ceremony. Singer Nikita Waghela shared glimpses from the event on Instagram, highlighting the serene moments of the Grah Shanti and Mandap Muhurat Puja. Radhika looked stunning in a cream and golden saree adorned with exquisite jewelry, while Anant sported a red kurta paired with a golden jacket.
As part of the wedding celebrations, Mukesh and Nita Ambani recently organized a mass wedding for the underprivileged on July 2 at Swami Vivekanand Vidyamandir in Palghar. On July 3, they hosted a spectacular Mameru ceremony, a Gujarati wedding tradition where the bride's maternal uncle (mama) visits her with sweets and gifts.
The wedding festivities are meticulously planned, adhering to traditional Hindu Vedic customs. The main ceremonies will commence on Friday, July 12, with the auspicious Shubh Vivah or wedding function. Guests are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the occasion by dressing in traditional Indian attire. The celebrations will continue on Saturday, July 13, with Shubh Aashirwad. The final event, Mangal Utsav or the wedding reception, is scheduled for Sunday, July 14.
