Anil Kapoor join hands with Ajay Devgn in the upcoming film De De Pyaar De 2; READ to know more
The year 2019 oozed with Bollywood's ultra-romantic comedy, De De Pyaar De starring Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, and iconic Tabu. Made with a budget of Rs. 50 crore, the film has successfully entered into the Rs. 100 crore club by garnering Rs. 143 crores globally. After 5 years after the film's release, the film is speculated to make its comeback with a sequel. As per the industry insiders, the sequel is almost ready among the makers and Ajay Devgn, Luv Ranjan, and Bhushan Kumar will be reuniting for it's part 2. Meanwhile, the Anushul Sharma directorial film is expected to go on floors in June 2024 in London.
Now, with the flooding information within the entertainment realm, it has been freshly reported that alongside Ajay Devgn, the makers have also roped off Anil Kapoor to play a pivotal role in De De Pyaar De Part 2. As per the source, "Anil was bowled over by the concept of DDPD 2 and it was an instant yes from him. The humor quotient in De De Pyaar De 2 is said to be a level above the prequel, with an interesting dynamic between Ajay Devgn and Anil Kapoor." Continuing further with the lead's individual characters, the source said, "The tussle between Kapoor's character and Ajay Devgn is the standout feature of De De Pyaar De 2. It’s a dynamic that got both excited as they have never shared an on-screen equation like this before. The sequel follows Ajay and Rakul's comedic escapades as they strive to win over Rakul’s family."
Meanwhile, as per the industry buzzes, Kapoor is expected to play the role of Rakul Preet's father in the upcoming film.
Penned by Luv Ranjan and Tarun Jain, De De Pyaar De is a romantic comedy-drama, it is set to be shot in June in London and all are ready to be released globally on 1st May 2025. It was directed by Anushul Sharma who will bring in many other actors apart from the signed-in trio, Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, and Anil Kapoor. Meanwhile, fans will be eagerly waiting for the revelation of some further updates by the makers.
