Recently, filmmaker Sharan Sharma has given yet another promising sports drama, Mr. & Mrs. Mahi. Starring Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao, the film was released on May 31, 2024. 'M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story' is a 2016 Indian Hindi-language biographical sports drama film directed by Neeraj Pandey. It is based on the life of Indian Cricket icon MS Dhoni. 

'Mary Kom' is a 2014 Indian Hindi-language biographical sports film based on the life of the eponymous boxer Mary Kom, directed by Omung Kumar.

'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag'  is a 2013 Hindi-language biographical sports drama based on the life of Milkha Singh, an Indian athlete and Olympian.

'83' is a 2021 Indian Hindi-language biographical sports drama directed by Kabir Khan. Led by Ranveer Singh, who played the role of former Indian cricketer Kapil Dev.  

'Jersey' is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language sports drama film written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. Although it is not a biopic, it still has a worthwhile storyline. 

Based on the life of badminton player Saina Nehwal,  'Saina' stars Parineeti Chopra as the iconic sportswoman. Released in 2021, the biographical sports film was directed by Amole Gupte.
