Bollywood's Biggest Flop of 2024: 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' Tanks at the Box Office, Here's Why!

In the year 2024, the cinephile community awaited with bated breath the release of "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan," a cinematic endeavor featuring the prominent Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. Timed for release during the festive occasion of Eid, the film entered theaters amidst a flurry of expectations, its trailers tantalizing audiences with promises of unparalleled entertainment and potential box office triumph.

However, the grandiose aspirations surrounding "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" quickly dissipated as it failed to strike a chord with viewers, resulting in a dismal performance at the box office barely into its second week of screening. Let us delve into the financial trajectory of the film on its thirteenth day in theaters.

Despite its substantial budget, "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" stands as the most monumental flop of 2024. Within a mere fortnight of its release, the film's earnings plummeted from millions to mere thousands. Ironically, the struggle for "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" extends beyond its inability to amass substantial revenue; it grapples with the challenge of enticing audiences to theaters, even for meager earnings.

Examining the revenue, "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" embarked on its box office journey with a commendable opening day collection of 15.65 crores. Throughout its inaugural week, it amassed a total revenue of 49.9 crores. However, as the film transitioned into its second week, its earnings witnessed a significant decline, accruing 1.7 crores on the second Saturday and 2.25 crores on the subsequent Sunday. By the arrival of the second Monday, its earnings had dwindled to a meager 85 lakhs. The initial figures for its thirteenth day of release have now emerged.

According to the preliminary trend report, "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" garnered a mere 80 lakhs on its thirteenth day of release, bringing its cumulative earnings over the span of thirteen days to a meager 56.80 crores.

The outlook for "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" at the box office appears bleak. Despite boasting a budget exceeding 300 crores, the film has failed to even approach half of its production costs after thirteen days in theaters. Struggling to attract audiences, its revenue continues to dwindle to insignificant figures. In the face of this daunting reality, questions arise regarding the film's sustainability at the box office, with its presence on screens rapidly diminishing.

Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" features a star-studded cast including Tiger Shroff, Akshay Kumar, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Manushi Chhillar, and Alaya F in pivotal roles.
