Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, fresh from attending the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, has announced the release date for her highly anticipated period political drama 'Emergency'. The film is set to hit theaters on June 14, 2024.

Taking to Instagram, Kangana shared a poster featuring herself as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, along with the exciting release date announcement. The poster showcases Kangana on the front page of a newspaper, capturing the essence of the film.
In her Instagram post, Kangana wrote, "Unlock the story behind India’s darkest hour. Announcing Emergency on 14th June 2024. Witness history come alive as the most feared and fiercest Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi, thunders into cinemas."
Expressing her excitement about the project, Kangana stated, "Emergency is my most ambitious project and second directorial post-Manikarnika. We have the best of Indian and international talent coming together for this big-budget, grand period drama."
'Emergency' portrays the most controversial episode in the history of Indian democracy, focusing on the iconic figure of Indira Gandhi. Kangana takes on the titular role, marking her first solo directorial film.
The star-studded cast includes Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair, and the late Satish Kaushik in pivotal roles.
