Ghoomer Storyline

Starring Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher, the 2 hour long movie stands tall to it's expectation and brings new hopes for the portrayal of fictional sports drama into the Indian cinema. The movie revolves around a cricket enthusiast who has to go through some innate hardships to pursue her dreams. The movie features Saiyami Kher as Anina who is on her way to the glimpsing affair of Cricket stardom, but a tragic accident leads her dreams get shatter as she looses her right arm turning Anina's life upside down. This is where Abhishek Bachchan as Padan Singh Sodhi comes into play! After the freaky incident of Anina, her life starts revolving around Sodhi's, as she paves her way for leading her sporty ladder.

Wide Character review

Portraying Saiyami Kher was indeed a smart move by the 'Ghoomer' makers. The true passion of Saiyami for Cricket helped her to grip the character of Anina with acing grace. She as Anina stayed convincing throughout the movie leaving no space for complains. The movie also features Shabana Azmi as Anina's grandmother, not to boast, but their bond adds that extra layer of cheese to the storyline. The portrayal of Abhishek Bachchan as a coach gave true lives to his character Paddy, an eccentric former Cricketer who turned into an alcoholic. It felt as if Bollywood has given rise to a new era of Abhishek Bachchan!

The Final Verdict - Review

The broken dreams amidst the mid-route of accessing it can be insanely traumatic, but what's so beautiful about 'Ghoomer' is that it hasn't tried hard to gather sympathies from the viewers rather it showed a true determination against vulnerabilities through unbreakable resilience. Boisterous Anina, though heartbroken and enraged, her grief lends her a helping hand in witnessing a never-seen journey in the Hindi cinematic history.
