Madhubala Biopic CONFIRMED! Directed by Jasmeet K Reen; THIS Actor Might Be The Lead

Madhubala Biopic: Exciting news for fans of legendary actor  Madhubala as a film chronicling her life is officially in the works! After much anticipation,  Madhubala Biopic was confirmed on Friday. Renowned director Jasmeet K Reen, known for the critically acclaimed movie 'Darlings' starring Alia Bhatt, will be steering this new project.

Madhubala Biopic Confirmed

The film is a collaboration between Sony Pictures International Productions, Brewing Thoughts Pvt. Ltd., and Madhubala's sister Madhur Brij Bhushan along with Arvind Kumar Malviya under the banner of Madhubala Ventures.

The news comes amidst earlier reports suggesting that fashion designer Manish Malhotra was also working on a  Madhubala biopic, with Kriti Sanon potentially in the lead role.

Back in October 2022,  Madhubala’s sister had firmly stated that only one biopic on Madhubala was in the pipeline, to be supported by her and her team.

Currently, the focus is on finding the perfect actress to portray Madhubala's grace, charm, and extraordinary talent. The studio, known for its successful cinematic endeavours, is dedicated to bringing multiple theatrical releases to audiences in India.

Who Will Madhubala?

Several actresses have been speculated to play the titular role, each bringing their unique qualities to the table:

Alia Bhatt, with her exceptional performances in movies like "Gangubai Kathiawadi," is considered a strong contender.

Kriti Sanon, an established actress in Bollywood, especially after winning accolades for her role in "Mimi," is also in consideration.

Triptii Dimri, known for her portrayal in "Qala," has garnered attention for her ability to embrace classic retro styles, making her another potential candidate.

Deepika Padukone, with her elegance and acting prowess, is seen as a fitting choice for the role, resonating with Madhubala's grace.
