The upcoming film is centered around the life of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The actor expressed his excitement during the trailer launch event, shedding light on his interest in politics and the preparation process for portraying Atal Bihari Vajpayee's character.

Pankaj Tripathi's experience of 'Main Atal Hoon'

Tripathi shared a humorous incident from his college days when he was associated with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), a youth wing. He reminisced about participating in protests and even spending a week in jail. Reflecting on his political journey, he realized the challenges of the political path and decided to shift gears, developing an interest in street theatre instead.

"I realized that the path of politics is full of thorns. Hence, I took a turn and started developing an interest in street theatre. There was Kaildas Rangalaya, Patna, where I enrolled myself. I thought this is better. At least here, acting is about speaking and acting, saying 'I am acting,'" said Pankaj.

Directed by Ravi Jadhav, 'Main Atal Hoon' is set to be released on January 19, 2024. Pankaj Tripathi expressed his honor in bringing Atal Bihari Vajpayee's story to the silver screen, emphasizing the significance of the journey in portraying the legendary figure.
