However, in his excitement, Salman inadvertently referred to the film as Kiran Rao's directorial debut. This mistake stirred a wave of correction from social media users, who swiftly pointed out that Kiran Rao had debuted as a director with the 2010 film Dhobi Ghat.
Salman's initial post read, "Just saw Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies. Wah wah Kiran. I really enjoyed it and so did my father. superb job. Kab kaam karogi mere saath?" However, this sparked a series of comments correcting his error. One user wrote, "Bro she isn't a debutant," while another reminded him, "Sir Dhobi Ghat dekhlo."
