Laapataa Ladies: Salman Khan took to social media platform X to express his enthusiasm for the recently released film, 'Laapataa Ladies', directed by Kiran Rao. However, in his excitement, Salman inadvertently referred to the film as Kiran Rao's directorial debut. This mistake stirred a wave of correction from social media users, who swiftly pointed out that Kiran Rao had debuted as a director with the 2010 film Dhobi Ghat.

Salman's initial post read, "Just saw Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies. Wah wah Kiran. I really enjoyed it and so did my father. superb job. Kab kaam karogi mere saath?" However, this sparked a series of comments correcting his error. One user wrote, "Bro she isn't a debutant," while another reminded him, "Sir Dhobi Ghat dekhlo."

Acknowledging his mistake, Salman shared a corrected version of his post. Despite the mix-up, Laapataa Ladies has garnered positive reviews from critics. The film, set in the fictional Nirmal Pradesh, unfolds the story of two brides who become separated during a train journey, leading to a series of complications.

Released in theatres on March 1, Laapataa Ladies is a joint production of Aamir Khan Productions and Kindling Productions. The cast includes Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Ravi Kishan, and Chhaya Kadam, and the film has been praised for its portrayal of rural India and its engaging narrative.
