Parineeti Chopra's Wedding Attire: Took 2500 Hours of Handcrafted Elegance
In a grand celebration, Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra and politician Raghav Chadha tied the knot in a lavish Punjabi wedding at The Leela Palace in Udaipur. The event has been the talk of the town, earning the title of the 'Punjabi Wedding of the Year.'
The ceremony was a sight, with stunning moments captured in photographs. Among the highlights were Parineeti and Raghav's jai mala and pheras, as well as a sweet moment where Raghav planted a kiss on her forehead.
Parineeti Chopra looked absolutely radiant in a beautiful beige-colored lehenga designed by Manish Malhotra. Her outfit was complemented by equally gorgeous jewelry that added to her ethereal look. On the other hand, Raghav Chadha looked dapper in a subtle ivory-colored outfit designed by his maternal uncle and fashion designer Pawan Sachdeva. The couple's love for each other shone through in every picture, making everyone swoon.
Parineeti's attire made waves which was a masterpiece that took an astonishing 2500 hours to create. The exquisite ensemble featured a tonal ecru base adorned with intricate hand embroidery, using vintage gold thread in a mesmerizing linear geometric pattern. Nakshi and metal sequins added an elegant touch, perfectly complementing the delicate mesh blouse and tulle framework dupatta, both embellished with fair-sized pearls.
A personal touch was added with Parineeti's signature tulle veil, featuring her groom Raghav's name in Devanagari script, created with the artistry of badla work, symbolizing their deep-rooted love. Completing the ensemble was a multi-tiered Manish Malhotra jewelry necklace featuring Uncuts, Zambian, and Russian emeralds in an antique finish. Paired with earrings, a maang tikka, and haathphool, the jewelry added a final flourish to Parineeti's bridal radiance.
Before the wedding ceremony, Raghav had a traditional sehrabandi at Lake Palace, followed by the baaraat's departure for the wedding venue in curtained boats. The day included the jaimala, pheras, and the emotional vidaai.
Pre-wedding festivities were equally extravagant and joyful, including haldi, mehendi, and a 90s-themed sangeet where singer Navraj Hans performed live. In the lead-up to the wedding, an ardas and a Sufi night were held in New Delhi, setting the stage for the grand event.
The guest list for this magnificent celebration included several of Raghav Chadha's AAP colleagues, with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann gracing the occasion. Additionally, close friend Sania Mirza and renowned designer Manish Malhotra, who designed Parineeti's stunning wardrobe, were also in attendance.
