Stylist Rhea Kapoor recently shared captivating pictures of the bride's exquisite look from the occasion, leaving fashion lovers in awe.
Radhika Merchant dazzled in a golden ensemble by Dolce & Gabbana, specially curated in collaboration with Anamika Khanna. Rhea Kapoor took to Instagram to reveal the details of Radhika's outfit for the Mangal Utsav, writing, "Radhika Ambani for her Reception in @dolcegabbana Alta Moda Sardegna 2024 and custom @anamikakhanna.in Couture. Pictures by @gregswalesart (sic)."
For her glamorous look, Radhika chose to keep her hair open and opted for minimal makeup. She accessorized her outfit with exquisite jewelry, enhancing her overall appearance. Her wedding reception look garnered immense admiration from netizens. One social media user commented, "Just took it to another level! Mix and matching of AK & D&G is just brilliance," while another wrote, "This is my fave Radhika Merchant wedding outfit of all time."
Throughout her wedding festivities, Radhika has made a significant fashion statement with her choice of ensembles. For her wedding day, she wore a custom Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla ivory lehenga and dupatta set, bordered with red. Embracing her cultural roots and heritage, Radhika, born in Gujarat, wore a Panetar, an integral part of Kutch wedding culture.
Her Shubh Aashirwad lehenga was hand-painted by Indian artist Jayasri Burman. The lehenga, a canvas of twelve meticulously hand-painted panels on special Italian canvas, represents a fusion of haute couture and artistic expression. Featuring Jayasri's quintessential mythical aesthetic, the art on the lehenga celebrates Anant's union with Radhika through deeply meaningful imagery. The human figures representing the happy couple radiate a celestial aura that honours the divinity of their humanity. The fauna depicts Anant's fondness for animals, particularly elephants, considered auspicious and beautiful. The flowers on the lehenga represent Abu Sandeep's signature style.
The craftsmanship of the lehenga includes meticulous hand embroidery of real gold Zardozi, with a glittering sea of sequins adorning the intricate spaces of Jayasri's art. It is paired with a blouse hand-embroidered entirely in Resham by master craftsmen at Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. For accessories, Radhika wore an emerald green and white beadwork neckpiece, matching earrings, and a maang tikka, completing her stunning look.
