Raid 2, a sequel to the successful Raid released in 2018, is being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak under the banners of T-Series and Panorama Studios, respectively. The team plans to shoot extensively in vibrant locations across Mumbai, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.

Adding to the excitement, actor Ravi Teja marked the beginning of the film by giving the mahurat clap for Ajay Devgn's Raid 2. In a shared Instagram post, Ajay expressed his gratitude to Ravi Teja, capturing a moment of camaraderie between the two actors. For the unversed, Raid, the prequel to Raid 2, was released in 2018, featuring Ajay Devgn, Saurabh Shukla, and Ileana D'Cruz. Inspired by a real-life raid conducted by the Income Tax Department in the 1980s, the film showcased Ileana D'Cruz portraying Ajay Devgn's wife, adding emotional depth to the gripping narrative.
