Rishab Shetty confirms 'Kantara 2'; begins scripting on occasion of Ugadi

Rishab Shetty confirms the 'Kantara' prequel: It is more than a delight for Rishab Shetty's 'Kantara' fans. On the follow-up to his smash blockbuster movie Kantara, the actor-director has already begun its pre-production phase.

The 'Kantara 2' filmmakers have begun writing the movie's script in honour of Ugadi.

The makers took to their social media and penned, "On this auspicious occasion of Ugadi & New Year, we are delighted to announce that the writing for the second part of #Kantara has begun. We can't wait to bring you another captivating story that showcases our relationship with nature. Stay tuned for more updates."

As soon as they learned about this change, fans got excited. At a celebration for the film's 100th day in theatres, actor-director Rishabh Shetty announced the release of Kantara, its prequel.

On September 30, 2022, Rishab Shetty's film Kantara was released. Along with Sapthami Gowda, Kishore, Achyuth Kumar, and Pramod Shetty, Shetty also appears in the movie. It was one of the largest box office successes, and both reviewers and moviegoers praised it. As Kantara laid the ground for its global renown, it also set a number of records. The movie was recently shown at the UN office in Geneva, Switzerland. Kantara is now preparing for its Italian and Spanish theatrical releases.
