Sam Bahadur: Vicky Kaushal unveils First Song 'Badhte Chalo'; Stirs Souls
In anticipation of the upcoming war drama 'Sam Bahadur,' the creators released the film's first song, 'Badhte Chalo,' on 13 Nov. The song, crafted by Shankar Ehsaan Loy with lyrics by Gulzar, is poised to stir a deep sense of patriotism.
Vicky Kaushal, who plays the role of India's war hero and first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw in the film directed by Meghna Gulzar, shared the track on Instagram, urging everyone to keep moving forward. The movie, also starring Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh, is set to hit theaters on December 1.
In the recently unveiled trailer, Vicky Kaushal showcases a fierce portrayal of Sam Manekshaw. The trailer concludes with a powerful declaration: "Aaj ke baad koi bhi officer ya jawan... mere written order ke bina apni post se peeche nahi hatega... aur main wo order kabhi nahi dunga" (From today onwards, no officer or soldier will move from their post without my written order, and I will never give that order).
"Sam Bahadur" narrates the life of India's first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, whose military career spanned over four decades and five wars. He achieved the historic milestone of becoming the first Indian Army officer to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshal. Notably, he led India to victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war, resulting in the creation of Bangladesh. The film is a tribute to this iconic figure and his significant contributions to the nation.
