'Shaitan' Surpasses Expectations: Claims Second-Highest Earner of 2024, Outshining This Film!

Ajay Devgn's latest venture into the realm of supernatural thrillers with 'Shaitan' has undeniably made waves at the box office, captivating audiences and critics alike with its gripping storyline and stellar performances. Since its much-anticipated debut, the film has not only lived up to expectations but has surpassed them, emerging as a reigning champion in the realm of Hindi cinema.

'Shaitan' made its theatrical entrance on March 8th, amidst a flurry of excitement fueled by its spine-chilling trailers. From its inaugural screening, the film wasted no time in enthralling viewers, establishing a firm foothold as a frontrunner in box office standings. Remarkably, even after a fortnight, 'Shaitan' maintains its stronghold, continuing to draw in crowds and dominate ticket sales.

In terms of financial prowess, 'Shaitan' embarked on its cinematic journey with an impressive collection of 14.75 crores. Fast forward two weeks, and the film shows no signs of slowing down. Early reports from Sacnilk indicate that 'Shaitan' accrued approximately 2.50 crores in India on its 14th day, marking a substantial achievement for the second Thursday since its release across all languages. Consequently, the cumulative earnings for the film's second week soar to an estimated 34.55 crores.

'Shaitan' Strikes Box Office Gold

Despite facing formidable competition from recent releases such as 'Yodha' and 'Bastar - The Naxal Story', 'Shaitan' stands tall, boasting a domestic box office collection of 114.37 crores within a mere 14 days.

Directed by Vikas Bahl, 'Shaitan' has not only conquered the domestic market but has also made significant strides on the global stage, amassing a staggering sum of 162 crores worldwide by its fourteenth day in theaters.

In a testament to its commercial prowess, 'Shaitan' has outshone Shahid Kapoor's romantic comedy 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' in terms of earnings, securing the coveted second spot on the list of highest-grossing Hindi films of the year. While 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' garnered an estimated 145 crores, 'Shaitan' has already amassed a robust collection of 162 crores, cementing its status as a box office behemoth.

'Shaitan' stands as a Hindi adaptation of the Gujarati film 'Vish', boasting a stellar ensemble cast featuring Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, Jyotika, and Janhvi Bodivala in pivotal roles.
