'Sri' starring Rajkummar Rao and Alaya F get's new release date; Here's when the biopic drama will hit the theatres

Rajkummar Rao is one of the Bollywood's most prolific actor who has given some of the most enthralling performances of the Hindi modern cinema, from starring in movies like Shahid, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Gangs of Wasseypur and Badhai do, his powerpact perfomances are always acclaimed, mostly for his unconventional choice of work, versatile in short. Speaking off his current workfront, the actor will be next seen in a Bollywood biopic drama 'Sri' alongside Alaya F and the makers have unveiled it's much awaited release date, that was earlier postponed in 2023. 

Sri get's new release date

Recently, on 15th February, 2024, the makers of the upcoming Bollywood biopic drama 'Sri' has revealed it's most awaited release date. Starring Rajkummar Rao and Alaya F, the movie will revolves around the life of a renown industrialist Srikant Bholla who is visually impaired, his challenges through accessing a spotlight fame among the name of the Indian tycoons. With a striking legacy, Rajkummar promises to enthrall the audiences as Srikant, founder of Bhollant Industries and was also the first blind student to pursue Management Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Meanwhile, Starring Rajkummar Rao and Alaya F, the movie will also feature Jyotika and Sharad Kelkar. Directed by Tushar Hiranandani, the movie is now all set to hit the theatres on 17th May, 2024. While earlier, it was set to release during September 2023, the makers have postponed and ever since kept the audiences anticipated until new updates were unveiled on the same. 

Rajkumar Rao professional work front

Speaking on Rajkummar Rao's work front, he was last seen in Anubhav Sinha's 2023 drama film 'Bheed' that took the audiences through the COVID-19-induced lockdown during 2020. Apart from Bheed, Rao was also featured in the Netflix's 2023 black comedy crime thriller televisoion series 'Guns & Gulaabs', and thus his performnace was well recieved. Speaking of his future projects, apart from Sri, the versatile actor also has Mr. and Mrs. Mahi alongside Janhvi Kapoor, Stree 2 with Shraddha Kapoor and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video with Triptii Dimri respectively.
