Tiger 3 exciting update; YRF finally opens up about choosing the 'Weakest Day' for the release of Salman Khan starrer film!
The Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer movie 'Tiger 3' has been creating a constant buzz ever since it's announcement earlier and bringing slices of the action-thriller with each passing day. Previously, with the released posters, 'Tiger Ka Message' video along with the trailer, the third installment is presenting a mega craze within the Bollywood's landscape. Recently, just a day ahead of it's release, Yash Raj Films has revealed some great updates on it's spy universe's third installment.
On Saturday, 11 November 2023, The production house has revealed some exciting info on choosing the day of Diwali as it's release date, the festival which is often labelled as the weakest day of the year to release a film! YRF has unveiled the reason for such a decision.
Why the 'Weakest Day' has been chosen as the day of it's release?
Unlike with a history of Friday releases every time, this year, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer movie is going to be premiered globally on a Sunday, i.e. tomorrow, 12 November 2023(Laxmi Puja) which unfortunately doesn't get a satisfying footfalls at the cinemas. Today, YRF's VP of Distribution Rohan Malhotra has spoken about the reason unabashedly. Paving light to Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan', he revealed how the Atlee movie was released a day before India's Republic day and received whopping love with each gradual day.
Yash Raj Films opts a smart move for the release!
Making his statement more crystal, he continued while saying, "What came to our mind was that it is important for us not to look at the opening day numbers but to focus on what is eventually going to benefit, and in the case of Tiger 3, we definitely felt that going on Laxmi Puja day, which is considered the weakest day to release a film, would be a better fit for our film." As per Rohan, just like the Pathaan's strategy, the Tiger 3 will focus on it's lifetime collection more than considering it's opening day numbers. Moreover, the makers highly trusts in Salman's stardom influence and the whole movie which will indirectly going bring immense success commercially.

Directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films, the sequel will bring back Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in the leading roles playing the pivotal characters, Tiger and Zoya under the YRF's spy universe. Previously, it's first part 'Ek Tha Tiger'(directed by Kabir Khan) was came into theatres in 2012, followed by it's sequel 'Tiger Zinda Hain'(directed by Ali Abbas Zafar) on 2017 and it's third installment is coming after 6 whopping years. Meanwhile Tiger 3 is going to get release tomorrow, 12 November coinciding with Diwali 2023.
