Vashu Bhagnani quips on Govinda Overshadowing Amitabh Bachchan in the original Bade Miyan Chote Miyan

Currently the entire nation is bating their breath for the release of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, this is a whole new modern take on it's original film of 1998 under the same name. Backed by Vashu Bhagnani of Pooja Entertainment, the not-so-sequel upcoming action thriller will star Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in the leading roles. Amidst audience's eager anticipation, it's producer Vashu Bhagnani has recalled the 1998 film which starred Big B, Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda while gasping to the narrative around the original film, stating Govinda overshadowing Amitabh Bachchan.

Vashu Bhagnani talks about the Original BMCM

It was back in the years of 90's when David Dhawan bought Bade Miyan Chote Miyan led by Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda. A cult classic film that gained immense poularity for it's unwavering action-comical storyline. For much of the commoner's belief, it was Govinda in the film that had been the ultimate showrunner as he had always been known for his perfect sarcastic characters. During a recent interview, it's producer Vashu Bhagnani was asked about the same to which he seemed to agree on the statement and threw light on the same.

While answering the question, he said it's totally true as the whole world use to refer about the same thing. "Yes, that’s correct. The whole world used to say this, and if the whole world felt this way, who am I to say otherwise? But the fact is that if Amit Ji wasn’t in the film, Govinda wouldn’t have had the opportunity to shine like he did. It was because of Amit ji that Govinda garnered more appreciation," his words followed. Continuing further, he recalled the words stated by Amitabh Bachchan who said, "I shouldn’t say this openly, but one day, Amit ji said, ‘Yaar maidaan agar khol do hum dono dekhte hain kya hoga." Continuing ahead with him statement he said, "But Amit Ji has a different sophistication, and Govinda had his own style. Together, the pair was too good. They could just stand silently and the job would be done."
