Vidya Balan Takes Legal Action Against Fake Instagram Account
Popular Bollywood actor Vidya Balan recently filed a complaint with the Mumbai Police, reporting an unknown individual who created a fraudulent Instagram account using her name. The imposter requested money from unsuspecting individuals, promising them job opportunities. This incident has raised concerns for Vidya Balan, who enjoys a significant online following, where she regularly shares videos and reels loved by her fans.
According to Mumbai Police, the culprit not only created a fake Instagram account but also set up a corresponding Gmail account. Using these fake accounts, the individual reached out to people associated with Bollywood, falsely guaranteeing job opportunities in exchange for money. The police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) under Section 66 (C) of the Information Technology Act.

The Khar Police registered an FIR against the unidentified person, and an investigation is underway to identify and apprehend the imposter. Vidya Balan had previously mentioned the fake account in her Instagram stories, alerting her followers to the situation.
Amidst these challenges, Vidya Balan is gearing up to reprise her role in the 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' franchise.
