Welcome 3 Update; Lara Dutta talks about her next venture calling it 'Crazy and Exciting'

Lara Dutta is one of the most beloved actress and has served her caliber through numerous masterclass rom-com dramas. Once titled in Miss Universe 2000, her famous movies include 'No Entry', 'Partner', 'Bhagam Bhag' and many more. Lara Dutta however has taken a big leap from the industry and gave no appearances for many years. But the acing actress is now all set to make her comeback into the silver screens through her next big venture 'Welcome 3' which will the third installment of the comedy franchise 'Welcome'. Hence Lara fans are quite eager to delve into her new project after the whopping filmy gap!

Lara Dutta talks about 'Welcome 3'

During a recent interview, Lara Dutta talked about various crucial aspects of her career and specially threw light on the upcoming OG movie 'Welcome 3'. She hence opined herself being a part of the movie and called it 'absolutely crazy' and exciting'. "It’s going to be absolute madness. I can't tell you how many messages from very influential people in the industry say ‘please can we come and be on this set’. The script is just absolutely crazy. It's exciting. Obviously for Raveena and myself to come on board, there has to be something substantial for us to be part of it," Lara quoted.

Lara on winning Miss Universe 2000

During her interview, Lara also talked about winning Miss Universe in 2000 and how it has changed her life forever. She quoted "I definitely believe in just destiny and faith. And that was India's year. The stars were aligned and it's a phenomenon that I don't think any country can boast off something like this", by 'India's year' she meant how Dia Mirza and Priyanka Chopra won the coveted titles of Miss Asia Pacific and Miss World respectively. After achieving the title, as she could meet some of the world's greatest leaders like Nelson Mandela and George Bush to which she says, "Catapults you into a very different dimension altogether. Those kinds of opportunities are literally one in a couple of billion". 

'Welcome 3' Casts & Crew

Meanwhile, 'Welcome 3' is helmed under Ahmed Khan which will bring together a starry casts ensemble that will include previous faces as well as various new. The comedy drama will star Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty, Rajpal Yadav, Johny Lever, Tusshar Kapoor, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Mika Singh, Zakir Hussain, Raveena Tandon, Disha patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lara Dutta and the list is ongoing.
