'Zwigato': Kapil Sharma meets elderly people, kids and expresses gratitude for upcoming film
Kapil Sharma, an actor and comedian preparing for his forthcoming movie "Zwigato," has revealed that he was initially skeptical of his role in the movie.
The reason for this was that the movie was a compelling drama and that, as a comedian, he arrived with a particular image of a comedian that he had developed over the years with his television shows, which have been seen in almost every Indian home for close to two decades.
Kapil talked openly about all the Nandita Das movies he had previously seen and adored. In addition to mentioning his adoration for her in 1947 and Fire, he also mentioned watching her films Firaaq and Manto. When Nandita mentioned that she was quite impressed with Kapil for seeing Firaaq and Manto, he responded that, contrary to his well-known persona, he actually enjoys watching serious material.
He said: "If you have a real life, then I will be able to tell you if it's true. Mere ko acha lagta hai serious filmein dekha; main funny filmein nahi dekhta hu; bahut kum dekhta hu; jiska hamesha main sun leta hu ki bahut ajhi hai, fir jata hu."
In the Bhubaneswar-based film Zwigato, Shahana Goswami plays his homemaker wife, who decides to assist their family's finances by beginning her career as a worker. Sameer Nair of Applause Productions and Nandita Das Initiatives are in charge of creating the movie.
