Deepika Padukone says 'Cannes will be in India': It is proud moment for every indian as India honors at Cannes Film Festival 2022 having Deepika Padukone as one of thr jury members. Deepika Padukone was joined by several other Indian celebs at the Cannes Red Carpet. Now the actress is creating headlines for believing that one day 'Cannes will be in India'.

Yes! Deepika Padukone while having an interaction at Cannes Film Festival while the Innaugration of thr India Pavillion stated, "Congratulations on the Inaugration of the India Pavillion. I'm proud because this year marks the 75th anniversary of the Cannes Film Festival, as well as the 75th anniversary of India, and having India as the focus centre at Cannes and being a member of the Jury is something I never expected."

"When I first entered the film industry 15 years ago, I don't believe anyone believed in me, my talent, or my craft. So being a member of the Jury 15 years later and seeing some of the world's top cinemas has been an incredible journey for me."

In addition to this, Deepika believes that as a country we still have a long way to go. She believe that we, as a nation, have it, that we have the talent, that we have the potential, and that all we need now is that kind of conviction, and she genuinely says that 'there will come a day when India will no longer need to go Cannes; Cannes will come to India.'
