Janhvi Kapoor Revisits the Heartbreaking Night of Sridevi's Passing: 'The Sound of Khushi's Sobs Still Lingers'
Koffee With Karan season 8 is getting more exciting as the days and it's episodes are passing by. Previously graced by the Bollywood's biggest stars like Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Kiara Advani, Kajol, Rani Mukerji and many others. Recently, the talk show has presented with an another anticipated episode i.e. episode 11 which was attended by the famous Kapoor sisters, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor.
During the long hour episode, both the Kapoor starlets were seen talking about some of the most fascinating parts of their starry life, be it personal and professional. In one of the sequence of the latest episode of KWK, things turned a little emotional when Janhvi Kapoor unveiled the moments of turmoil, the moment when she heard the news of her mother's death. While throwing light on the darkhood, she revealed it was actually Khushi Kapoor, who has informed about Sri Devi's demise even being the younger sibling of the household.
We all know, the impact Sri Devi had within the Indian cinema and how her sudden death sent shockwaves all throughout the country. While talking to host, Karan Johar, Janhvi Kapoor revisited the moments of past and said, "When I got the call, I was in my room and I could hear wailing from Khushi's room. I think I barged into her room, hauling and crying but what I do remember is she looked at me and the minute she looked at me, she just stopped crying. She just sat next to me and started comforting me and I've never seen her cry about it since." Sister Khushi Kapoor then added her words from her own perspective and gasped, "I felt like I had to hold it together for everyone because I feel like I've always been the strong one."Speaking of her mother, Janhvi also paved few similarities her younger sister Khushi shares with late Sri Devi. "She is very quiet person and I think that is one thing she has in common with Mumma. But in front of the camera, she just explodes," the Dhadak lead stated.
Speaking off their individual career, Janhvi Kapoor made her Bollywood entry through 2018's debut project 'Dhadak' starring alongside Ishaan Khattar. Lastly, she was seen in 'Bawaal', a romantic drama featured along side Varun Dhawan. Khushi Kapoor on the other hand has recently gave a kickstart to her acting career through Netflix musical 'The Archies' directed by Zoya Akhtar.
