Thank You For Coming premiere at TIFF 2023; Debutant Karan Boolani shares his excitement as he reaches the auspicious event
'Thank You For Coming' has been making constant headlines ever since it has made it's announcement to the people. Now as the trailer and it's first musical number got released, people have turned more excited about what the film has to offer to it's audience. Interestingly, the movie will also mark Rhea Kapoor's husband Karan Boolani's first ever debut directorial into the land of Indian cinema. Meanwhile, the chick-flick all girly movie is going to make it's world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival this year for which the entire team has flocked down to the city including Karan Boolani.

Director Karan Boolani took over his Instagram handle to share his excitement and shared glimpses of numerous polaroid's together along with other filmmakers from around the globe. While sharing the post he wrote, "Dear younger self, you are worth so much more than you think you are. Keep your head down and keep moving forward.. trust your instincts and believe in yourself ALWAYS." While in the comments section, wife Rhea Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja were seen cheering up for his great achievement.

On Wednesday morning, Ekta Kapoor shared a selfie with Karan while tagging Rhea along where she wrote, "This one is killing it" to which Rhea re-shared the story and quoted, "I'm so proud of you @karanboolani People don't know how long you've waited. But I think this moment was worth it. Your debut film is at @tiffnet and off we go...." On the other hand, while reacting to Karan's polaroid post Rhea applauded him and said "You are the best,", followed by Sonam Kapoor's comment "Love you bools". Next comment added by Anand Ahuja's "Those who don’t believe in magic can never find it".
About 'Thank You For Coming'
The starry looking movie will revolve around five girlfriends where Bhumi Pednekar will lead the character named Kanika Kapoor, who was introduced during the trailer. Kanika is a woman in the thirties who struggles in her life, full of chaos and confusion. With four of her best pals, the movie will delve deeper into the topics of love, friendship, sex and pleasure. The unabashed looking ensemble will showcase the relatability of 'not so talked' topics of life such as female orgasm and sex toys and thus surely has the probability of changing the course of woman representation in the Indian cinema. Well that decision is entirely depends on the Indian audience. What do you think?
