Emergency: Shreyas Talpade to play Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Kangana Ranaut's next; first look unveiled
Emergency: Kangana Ranaut is all set to portray the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in her upcoming movie 'Emergency; has already piqued excitement among movie buffs. The film's shoot recent began and the makers unveiled the first teaser of the film. Now, actor Shreyas Talpade has joined the cast who will be seen playing the role of Atal Bohari Vajpayee, former Indian Prime Minister who served for three terms.
The first look of the actor has been unveiled and surely it is intriguing. Meanwhile, talking about the role. Shreyas said, "One of the most admired, wise, well-educated, powerful, and well-liked leaders in both India and the entire world, Atal ji possesses all of these qualities. It is an enormous privilege, a tremendous honour, and unquestionably a bigger duty to play him on screen. I hope that I meet everyone's expectations. To embody the role, I'm doing my best."
In addition to directing the movie, Kangana also plays the lead role in "Emergency." She will portray the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the drama. Besides, renowned star Anupam Kher is also featured in the movie in a key role. He will be seen as Jayaprakash Narayan, a holder of the Bharat Ratna award, in the movie.
Kangana's movie Emergency is written and directed by the actress herself and the story of the film exhibits the tale of a turning point in Indian politics. The script and dialogue for Emergency, which debuted this month, were written by Ritesh Shah.
Meanwhile, the movie is a Manikarnika Films production, with Renu Pitti and Kangana serve as producers.
