Famous Musician Rahat Fateh Ali Khan tests positive for Covid-19 in Dubai

Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, a legendary musician, has tested positive for COVID-19. On Khan's official Twitter account, his team confirmed the news.

“We sadly announce the rescheduling of the Mystical Sufi Night as Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has tested Covid positive. The event has now been rescheduled for Saturday, 12th March 2022. We greatly regret the inconvenience caused!”

Get-well-soon messages flooded the comments area from well-wishers.

The global singing sensation was said to have tested negative just hours before departing Pakistan. The 47-year-old music veteran was taken aback by the report, which he described as "amazing" in terms of how quickly it occurred. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan will be quarantined for the next ten days while in Dubai.

Earlier, singer Rahata Fateh Ali Khan also paid a heartfelt tribute to late singer Lata Mangeshkar Ji.

In a video, Pakistani musician Rahat Fateh Ali Khan paid tribute to Lata Mangeshkar. He speaks about the grief that has engulfed him and Mangeshkar's admirers after her death. He also discusses Mangeshkaar's influence on him as an artist and expresses his sympathies to her family.

Lata Mangeshkar, the legendary vocalist, died in Mumbai on Sunday at the age of 92 from multi-organ failure. Thousands of songs in 36 languages had been recorded by the prolific singer throughout the course of her nearly eight-decade career. Leading figures from all areas of life paid homage to Mangeshkar.
