Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi confesses being mastermind in Sidhu Moose Wala's murder, says Punjab Police

Sidhu Moose Wala's murder case: Punjab Police ADGP Pramod Ban on Thursday said that gangster Lawrence Bishnoi has admitted that he was the mastermind behind the Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala's killing. The police said that he was planning the murder since last August.

Punjab's Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) stated that the police has arrested one more accused in the Sidhu Moose Wala's murder case and the accused is said to have close links with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

Sidhu Moose Wala, aka Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, was shot dead in Punjab's Mansa district on May 29. The killing took place a day after the Punjab Government curtailed the security cover of the late Punjabi singer.

The ADGP said that "the plan to carry out the murder was being hatched since August last year. Reportedly, the recce was done thrice. Earlier in January, a different group of shooters had come to kill Sidhu Moose Wala but were not able to do so."

"Baldev aka Nikku, arrested, is a resident of Sirsa in Haryana. His work was to conduct a recee and pass on the information to the conspirators who were in touch with the shooters," he added.

It may be recalled that the Delhi's Patiala House Court on June 14, had allowed Punjab Police to arrest Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in connection with the Sidhu Moose Wala's murder case.
