Indians are bound to feel nostalgic after seeing Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel from Gadar 2 sets

Sakeena from Gadar will be back on the screen after a long time and in the film which is very close to the hearts of Punjabis. Ameesha Patel took to her social media handle sharing the pictures of Gadar 2 Mahurat with her co-star Sunny Deol.

The lead actors of the film are making everyone emotional with their dress up as Tara Singh and Sakeena. The two-actor have come together after almost 20 years as it has been 20 years since Gadar was released.

The film will also feature Utkarsh Sharma apart from Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel for which the mahurat has been done. In the mahurat shot, Sunny Deol can be seen in Maroon kurta with his turban completing the Tara Singh look. On the other hand, Sakeena i.e Ameesha Patel looks beautiful in the mustard yellow suit.

The film Gadar portrayed the story of Partition of India in 1947 in which religious dirty fights gave birth to a beautiful love story of a Punjabi boy and a Muslim girl.

Talking about Gadar 2, it will feature the story post the partition with India Pakistan angle. An official close to the film said “We have been working on Gadar sequel since 15 years. Gadar will show the story of Tara (Sunny Deol), Sakeena (Ameesha Patel) and Jeet (their son). The story will move ahead with India-Pakistan angle. Gadar is incomplete without it."

Late Amrish Puri and Lillette Dubey were seen in the 2001 film Gadar in a supporting role which will surely be missed in the sequel. Talking about the credits of the film, it has been written by Shaktimaan and made under the direction of Anil Sharma with the music of Mithoon.
