Kangana Ranaut takes a dig at Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi as a child imitates Alia Bhatt; watch video

Kangana Ranaut is a Bollywood actress who isn't afraid to speak her mind. The actress has slammed Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi after criticizing Deepika Padukone's new flick Gehraiyaan. A video of a toddler replicating a scene from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's directorial was shared on social media.

Kangana said that the impersonation she was forced to perform was wrong since she believes that a youngster should not be forced to imitate a sex worker. In her Instagram story, Kangana also mentioned Smriti Iran, the Minister of Women and Child Development.

"Should this child imitate a sex worker with a beedi in her mouth and crude and obscene dialogues? Look at her body language, is it ok to sexualize her at this age? There are hundreds of other children who are being used similarly" wrote Kangana in her Instagram story.

Talking about the film Gangubai Kathiawadi stars Alia Bhatt in the lead role, along with Ajay Devgn, Vijay Raaz, Shantanu Maheshwari, Seema Bhargava Pahwa, Indira Tiwari, and Varun Kapoor in pivotal roles.

The trailer of the film which was released a week ago has already proven Alia's versatility as Gangubai Kathiawadi. The film also marks the first collaboration of Alia Bhatt and Sanjay Leela Bhansali together. Helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Gangubai Kathiawadi is all set to be released in theatres on February 25, 2022.
