The release of the 83 trailer earlier this week has sparked the interest of fans of both cinema and cricket. The film, directed by Kabir Khan, tells the story of India's first world cup victory in 1983. Deepika Padukone plays Romi Dev, the cricketer's wife, and Ranveer Singh plays Kapil Dev, the then-captain of the Indian cricket team.

When questioned how his family reacted when Deepika was cast as his wife Romi, Kapil said, "I think mixed because I don't know how much the role of my wife is in 83." As a result, one is unaware of what they are attempting to accomplish."

When asked how the concept for a film based on the 1983 World Cup victory happened, Kapil stated that it had been discussed for a long time. He told the online news portal that the movie's producers were interested in the idea, but he was "a little confused." Kapil admitted that he had no idea how the film would turn out or what the producers would include, but the entire team gradually became convinced that they were making a film about it.

Not only this, but Kapil went on to say that Ranveer stayed at his house for a while in order to learn more about the cricketer deeply. He revealed that he not only followed his skills and abilities but imbibed the cricketer’s eating plan while he was there.
