Nepotism Is Stealing Chances From Outsiders In Bollywood: Sargun Mehta

Sargun Mehta is a well-known face of Punjabi Film Industry. This beautiful and sensuous heroine of Pollywood has worked in movies like "Love Punjab", "Angrej", "Jindua" and "Lahoriye". She has given us the best of the Punjabi period drama by opting a de-glam avatar in the entertainment Industry. This makes her stand tall and proud amongst the other heroines of the Industry.

She was recently seen making the most of life. She looked damn cute in her swaggy pose. Look at this video of "Swaggan waliye..."

She started her working career by television and in a short span, she is counted amongst the biggest heroines of Punjabi Film Industry. Then why not any offers from Bollywood. In an interview, she spoke about nepotism in the Industry and how star kids take away the opportunities for the good roles in Bollywood movies.

Currently, she is busy in the promotion of her husband's upcoming movie "3 Dev".

Giving her opinion on the nepotism Sargun said,  “I have always had two versions of it. First one is, the good roles never come to us , we are not even auditioned for them, because they are already taken away.”

Sargun elaborated the statement by giving an example,  “You will have to really look in the past few years to see how many outsiders made it easier or coming up in numbers more. Basically, everyone around is a star-kid. But then there are people like Nushrat Bharucha and Kartik Aaryan, who are making it. However, look at how they made it. Their films weren’t big-budget ones, or they weren’t invested in, or ‘launched’. They were the ones who made it, just because, like a chance,” she says.

As every cloud has a silver lining, she elaborates on the ‘other version’ too by saying, “Say, my father runs a business, and today my brother is running it for him. There are people who have worked with him for 30 years, but today, my brother is the boss. That’s not fair, but that’s what parents do, and that’s what a legacy is supposed to be. Why would somebody work hard for 30 years if they can’t give it to their kids? Nepotism, I feel, sometimes is a little over-hyped and sometimes very true,” she signs off.
