Grapevine: British actor Darrell D’ Silva joins KGF star Yash in upcoming movie Toxic

Following a massive success of his previous project, KGF, Yash is gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie ‘Toxic: A Fairy tale for Grown ups’, a kannada action thriller directed and written by Geetu Mohandas is expected to enthral the audience with its gripping plot to centering around the drug mafia based in Goa. Releasing on April 10, 2025, across Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi languages, anticipated to be a major highlight of the year.

Yash and his team unveiled the title and an announcement video for this movie in December, 2023. Production of the film ushered earlier this year in Karnataka and has already generated significant buzz. There were surprising names in the cast. The film features a star-studded cast including Kiara Advani in the female lead role. The supporting cast includes Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Shruti Haasan. 

Interestingly, initially while choosing the cast, Kareena Kapoor Khan was considered for the role of Yash’s elder sister, but due to prior commitments, Kareena Kapoor Khan took a step back and was replaced by Nayanthara. 

In an exciting development, England-born British actor Darrell D'Silva has also entered the list of the casting team and has arrived in Bangalore to participate in the shoot. Although there has been no official announcement yet, rumours are circulating about Darrell D'Silva being in Bangalore. Additionally not only Darrell, but Bollywood actor Akshay Oberoi has also been added to the ensemble and will be seen sharing the lead role along with Yash in the film. 

‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups’, directed by Geetu Mohandas, is set to be Yash’s another pan-India release in the theatres following KGF, marking his return to the silver screen. Additionally the film aims to captivate the audience with its compelling narrative and profound action sequence. Yash is also co-producing the film in collaboration with KVN, further adding to the anticipation surrounding its release.
