Sufi singer Kanwar Grewal now adds 'Singh' to his name; details inside
Kanwar Grewal news: Punjabi singer Kanwar Grewal is known for his Sufi songs like ‘Chhalla’, ‘Saamne Hove Yaar’ and ‘Doltaan’ The singer has actively participated in the farmer’s protests and released several .songs in their favour. The singer is known for all his popular sufi songs and is also a lyricist.
Recently, he remained in the headlines for adding ‘Singh’ to his name. However, he did not announce it but it was quite evident from his social media post. Further, talking about the singer's Instagram post where he released a poster of his upcoming song titled ‘Raam Allah’ which will release on March 15, on his YouTube channel.
The singer captioned his poster which read about the release of the song and the channel name. However, the caption had some hashtags as well which read Kanwar Singh Grewal which in itself makes it evident that he added Singh to his name.
For the unversed, Kanwar’s first album was ‘Akhan’ which was released in 2013 and was a big hit back then. Then, the next song was followed by ‘Jogi Nath’ which was much appreciated by the audience and received positive responses from the audience side. In addition to this, his first Punjabi debut song was ‘Faqeera’ from a superhit movie ‘Ardaas’ which was released in the year 2016.
Talking of his achievements, he received a certificate of appreciation for his promotion of the Punjabi language in Canada. Lastly, he also received the 'best Punjabi singer award' in 2020 and also the best Sufi singer award in 2020.
