Watch Story Of Being A Proud Sikh In Pollywood Movie "Proud To Be A Sikh" on PTC Punjabi
Don’t miss out to watch, Proud To Be A Sikh this Sunday i.e. 1st July only on PTC Punjabi @ 8:30 PM. This is a Punjabi movie which got released a few months back. It was directed by Satdeep Singh & Dr. Rupinder Singh. This movie is based on the life of a Gur-Sikh professor who had to left the country in 1984, and has come back to India with a lots of feelings and aspirations for his culture and heritage. He was actually forced to leave his country at the time of Sikh genocide in 1984. However, as soon he enters the country he finds a different environment and culture among the Sikh youth.

A few incidents he came across left him stunned with the variation in the roots of Sikhs in the past 20-25 years. It took more than 500 years to Guru Sahibaans and Gursikhs to nurture the teaching but the environment amongst the present Sikh youth is quite indeed. Proud To Be A Sikh, is a movie about the journey of Gur-Sikh professor who worked to make Sikh youth aware of their identity. Also, he made the youth aware of the rich heritage of Sikh culture.
This movie revolves around the difficulties he had to face during his journey, and how he emerged as a winner in the end. Proud To Be A Sikh, is a movie about expounding the society about the true image of a Sikh. The image projected in their minds today is a false media propaganda and misunderstanding. The movie was about the lifestyle of a true Khalsa, displaying the qualities of both a saint and sipahi in various conditions.

The makers also produced a sequel of the movie, ‘Proud To Be A Sikh 2’. This movie again revolves around the Sikh principles, and a young Sikh proud and confident about his Sikh appearance.
