Amitabh Bachchan's supporters agreed with him as soon as he expressed his admiration for Abhishek. "He's always a wonderful performer," one Instagram user said, while another pointed out that Saswata Chatterjee's original role was far superior. In Vidya Balan's film Kahaani, Saswata played Bob Biswas.

In the trailer, Abhishek Bachchan plays Bob Biswas, a man who has lost his memory and has no recollection of being a hired assassin. When he is recruited to kill once more, he begins to question his acts' morality.

Chitrangada Singh, Paran Bandopadhyay, Ronith Arora, and Samara Tijori also star in the film. Diya Annapurna Ghosh directed the film, which was produced by Sujoy Ghosh, Gauri Khan, and Gaurav Verma.

"Bob Biswas is a highly popular character, which I only realized after I signed the film," Abhishek Bachchan had previously told about the film. "So, in my opinion, getting the look right is half the battle won. I'm relieved that the look was well received. That's fantastic news for me and the movie."
