Finally, movies are going to come back in theatres as the situation eases in the nation owing to the lockdown. Now the release announcement of Ranveer Singh’s ‘83’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Sooryavanshi’ are out.

According to the announcement, Rohit Shetty’s ‘Sooryavanshi’ starring Akshay Kumar and Katrine Kaif will have a diwali release while Kabir Khan’s ‘’83’ starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone has opted for a Christmas release this year.

‘Sooryavanshi’ was supposed to release on March 24. However, after the first phase of lockdown was announced, the makers of the film postponed the film indefinitely. Although there was a great demand for the movie to be released on the digital platforms, Rohit Shetty had confirmed that the movie will be released in the theatres only.

Kabir Khan’s ‘’83’ too waited patiently to decide on its fate and have finally opted for December release which is usually the time when Aamir Khan releases his movies.

While the announcement has come from the multiplexes, the news is yet to be confirmed by the filmmakers and the actors.
