Rohit Shetty Donates Rs 51 Lakh From ‘Simmba’ Profit To Mumbai Police

Bollywood’s one of the finest action directors, Rohit Shetty is a gem of a person. Known for directing blockbuster movies like ‘Dilwale’, ‘Singham’, ‘Golmaal’ series and ‘Chennai Express’ among others is getting applause from the movie lovers for his generous act of donating Rs 51 lakh to the Mumbai Police Foundation.

According to reports, the director has donated Rs 51 lakh from the profits of his latest film ‘Simmba’ which earned at the box-office. Shetty donated the amount during the Mumbai Police’s annual cultural festival Umang 2019 on January 28.

Rohit, along with Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn handed over the cheque on behalf of his production house Rohit Shetty Picturez to the Commissioner of Police at the event.

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan starrer film ‘Simmba’ has earned over Rs 238 crore at the box office. The film was released on December 28, 2018.

The film also stars Sonu Sood, Siddharth Jadhav and Ashutosh Rana in pivotal roles.
